Sometimes we have a tendency to write in styles we call our comfort zone. We never dare step outside because, like the Queen of Swords, we have all the creative energy required for our creations. We unleash our passion in the form we find solace and nurture each word onto the page.
We’ve spent years honing the craft in the production of the wow factor for readers. But we feel stale at times, we never grow into our full potential.
And if we ever took the time and searched our hearts and minds, we know it’s due to never writing outside our box. We limited ourselves. Instead, we must become the fool. We must not focus on the style we abuse daily and instead shift our comfort zone into new avenues of creative writing growth. We must take the leap of faith and free ourselves from ourselves. Let our minds wander and explore new styles we always wanted to try but were afraid of producing garbage.
But here’s the kicker, we won’t. We cannot fail as we already mastered one form. So again, the only thing holding us back, well, is us.
And when we agree to unleash our minds from the prison of the mundane, we will grow like never beforeโwith each new prose penned, our confidence burns within as we tackle any style thrown our way. Maybe it’s a Haiku, a flash fiction tale, or a thousand-word short story. Whatever it may be, run with it. Because like the Five of Pentacles flipped suggest, we’ll not struggle. We’ll soar to new heights as we leave the ordinary and jump into the extraordinary.
It’s time to broaden our horizons as we let the universe be our writing guide.
Only greatness awaits when we take the leap of faith.
