As we grow in our creative crafts, we have those moments when all our endeavors come into alignment. Everything’s pitch-perfect, zero flaws. It’s pure bliss — nothing can take the wind out of our sail. Confidence is at an all-time high. But then, Hephaestus, the god of fire, slams on our creative brakes. The flame which drives the passion forward, extinguished. Melancholy consumes us.
What happened?
It’s the Four of Cups, and may the gods help us reverse Hephaestus’ curse. We sit with our arms crossed, closed off to the world. The only thought, reflection on the inspiration, which gave us the choice. A choice that led us all the way to victory with the three. But now, self-loathing takes precedence. We ignore the golden vessel offered to us by divine inspiration. The potential coming from the work that built our confidence. We’re too busy rejecting the positive while we sit in our self-made turmoil.
We want to move forward, but can’t find the energy within, because a key principle has been forgotten. As the New Moon in Leo tells us, “Confidence is the key we need for success.” And the only way back from the depressed state, take hold of the cup extended. Let the golden light illuminate us once more. Then our foundation becomes complete. Stability returns. We’re ready for the next step in our journey, as the full moon shows. Emotions subside, the fire reunites within. A clean slate prepares the way for new possibilities.
But again, we must reach out and take hold of the fourth cup and be the Leo. Let our passion burn within. No more lack of confidence, it’s all action and forward movement from this point forward.
And the most important thing to remember, no matter what happens, have fun!
