Why do people cheer when thugs are incarcerated, but sit idle when predators in the E-files, corporate CEOs, executives, and politicians who commit crimes against humanity go unpunished? Let’s ask the cards.
The Breakdown
Pillar of the North → Creates the illusion of leadership when none exists. It forces people to focus on the now because it provides a false sense of structure in total chaos. A conviction holds someone accountable who is within reach. Because at the end of the day, a judgment—even against the innocent—is better than none at all. It’s law and order, baby—oligarch style.
8 of Swords → A false sense of security wrapped with a bow. After all, someone must pay. Retribution required. Give Gladiator-style justice and keep them entertained. It feels good, even though nothing makes sense.
The Chariot → Victory. It tickles the ears. But the horses do not agree.
The Read
When lawlessness becomes the norm, imprisonment for anyone is better than locking up no one. They prefer a touch of delusion rather than stand and hold the real criminals accountable. It’s easier this way. They feel as if justice is served, even when they understand it is all a charade.
Why stand and fight when you can sit and enjoy the rhetoric from the sidelines? Make Luigi face the death penalty, but allow Gates, BlackRock, and other billionaires and politicians to run unscathed. After all, the Justice Department stated that going after Congress for their crimes would shut the country down. But putting one man in prison for life for a lesser crime than theirs is 100% justice.
